AccuLite® CLIA Technology

Chemiluminescent microplate immunoassays, manufactured by Monobind in Lake Forest, California. The trusted microwell format, read in light: shorter incubations, no stop solution and a wider dynamic range.

What is AccuLite?

AccuLite® is Monobind's chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) platform. It uses the same microwell format and plate systems as AccuBind® ELISA, but replaces the color reaction with a chemiluminescent signal read on a luminometer. Most kits on the Monobind menu are offered in both formats, so labs can move from ELISA to CLIA without changing analyte, sample or workflow.

How it works

From sample to signal in four steps

AccuLite kits run on streptavidin-, antibody- or antigen-coated wells, matched to each analyte. The finish is what changes: light instead of color, with no stop step.

  1. 1Sample and reagentCalibrator, control or sample goes into the coated well with the enzyme-labeled reagent.
  2. 2IncubateTypically 45 minutes, while the immune complex forms and is captured on the well.
  3. 3WashUnbound material is washed away, leaving only the captured complex.
  4. 4Signal and readAdd the signal reagent, wait about 5 minutes and read light on a luminometer. No stop solution.

Why labs choose AccuLite

Shorter runsTypical incubations of 45 minutes plus a 5-minute signal step, with no stop solution to add.
Wider dynamic rangeA chemiluminescent signal covers a wider range than color, with greater sensitivity at the low end.
One signal reagentA single two-part signal reagent is used across AccuLite kits, which keeps inventory and training simple.
The menu you knowMost Monobind assays come in both ELISA and CLIA. VAST® multi-analyte panels are available in ELISA and CLIA microwell formats.
Ready for automationRuns manually or on CLIA-capable analyzers, including Monobind's LuMatic®, NeoLumax®, AutoPlex® and Titin® systems.
Flexible pack sizes96- and 192-well packs across the menu, plus 480- and 960-well packs for TSH, T3, T4, Free T3, Free T4, Vitamin D and the thyroid, fertility and cancer-marker VAST panels.

Instruments

AccuLite kits need a microplate luminometer. Monobind offers the LuMatic® and NeoLumax® CLIA analyzers, plus the AutoPlex® G2 and G3 and Titin® systems in ELISA and CLIA models, all programmed for Monobind assays. Ask Technical Support about applications for other instruments.

Quality and support

Manufactured under an ISO 13485-certified quality system. Every lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis, and IFUs and SDSs are online. The Troubleshooting Guide and Good Lab Practices cover ELISA and CLIA technique, and the Assay Support Request reaches Technical Support directly.

Frequently asked questions

What instrument do I need for AccuLite?

A microplate luminometer. AccuLite kits do not run on a colorimetric plate reader; for that, choose the AccuBind ELISA version of the test.

How do I tell an AccuLite kit from an AccuBind kit?

By the product code. AccuLite codes use 75 where AccuBind codes use 25. For example, TSH is 325-300 in AccuBind ELISA and 375-300 in AccuLite CLIA.

Is every Monobind assay available in AccuLite?

Most are. Kits offered in ELISA only include TORCH serology, neonatal dried-blood-spot screening, veterinary assays and selected Rapid kits. Use the CLIA filter on the Immunoassay page to see the current AccuLite menu.

Can I mix reagents between AccuLite kits or lots?

No. Use the components listed on the Certificate of Analysis for your lot.
