World's Largest Menu of Open-System CLIA
Monobind manufacturers around 60+ different assays in chemiluminscence format presenting a robust and impressive test menu. Having developed CLIA in the early 2000's before detection systems were available for clinical users, Monobind was instrumental in designing and launching several cost-effective systems for this emerging market. Monobind's line of CLIA reagents continues to grow as new markers are deployed and its user-base expands.
Better Performance
The advantage of CLIA is "increased
sensitivity & dynamic range, which allows detection of lower analyte
concentrations & earlier diagnosis of disease." (IVD Technology Oct
2004). Monobind uses Luminol in its tracer reagent to enhance signal
strength and produce a long-lasting glow reaction that is superior to
other substrates. This results in an assay up to 100,000x more sensitive
than ELISA.
CLIA's dynamic range is improved beyond
ELISA with better linearity and discrimination of signal. While ELISA
cannot read higher than 3.0 O.D. thus requiring sample dilution, CLIA
can read a dynamic range of 106 or 107 significantly increasing assay
linearity and reducing overflow. Further, low background (high
signal-to-noise ratio) enables a clearer interpretation of low analyte
concentrations.
Long Shelf Life
CLIA substrates have a shelf-life of 3
years, far superior to fluorescence and RIA, and like all AccuBind®
ELISA products have a 18-month life at time of manufacturer with
Monobind guaranteeing customers 12 months freshness from date of
shipment.
Quicker Results
Incubation times are reduced from ELISA
methods typically by 30 minutes or more, adding valuable time to
technician schedules and increasing their productivity.
Easy Adoption
Monobind CLIA follows the same procedures
as ELISA, with the exception of no stop solution and shorter incubation
times, thereby making it easy for current Monobind ELISA users to adopt
CLIA in full or partial analyte range.
